Thankfully, the defeat of George W. Bush in
November 2004 is no longer a long shot. In order to make a contribution in the literary world to this important national cause, Long Shot literary magazine is publishing a "Beat Bush Issue."

artwork, and political articles.
It includes work that explicitly addresses the Bush administration and its policies, as well as work that deals directly or indirectly with contemporary social issues that could hopefully be more effectively
addressed by a better president. In addition to the 14 poets listed above, contributors to the issue include: Adrienne Rich, Howard Zinn, Arundhati Roy, Ishmael Reed, Marge Piercy, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, JayneCortez, Pedro Pietri, Amber Tamblyn, Leon Golub, Nancy Spero, Miguel Algarin, Alicia Ostriker, Ed Sanders, Frances Fox Piven, Ida Applebroog, Wanda Coleman, William Greider, Martha Rosler, Komar & Melamid, Eileen Myles, Danny Schechter, Anne Waldman, Allen Ginsberg, Carl Rakosi, EnidDame, Luis J.
